Spent the last hour trying to put up the tent I got of freecycle.

Got all the poles together, got the groundsheet pegged out, got all the guy ropes pegged down. It looked like a TENT! I was well-chuffed with myself.

Then I went inside to see if it was ok in there and....

the farking thing fell over.
Now I can't get it to go back in its bag and I hate tents.

So there.
Anyone know a nice, cheap B & B?

May get one of those that you just throw in the air and they magically arrange themselves into something that looks like a tent.

You need gaffer tape. Tie it to a tree, will look rubbish but stay up. Although lightening is a risk!

Put it in 2 bags! one for poles and one for the tent bit

nice thought, lucy, but I can't even get it stuffed into one bag! I remembered my guide camping days and squeezed all the air out of it and rolled it really tightly. Just not tightly enough (grr)

Can't remember what brand it is, but it only has three poles that go like this: |_| (except the other way up) and the tent kind of goes underneath and over the top of the three poles, and you are supposed to secure it by the guy ropes.

And yes, lucycat, twas all going well until this afternoon. Didn't appreciate the jerks on football focus telling me beforehand that they were going to come unstuck today, and was totally pissed off when it came true! Still, it's been a good few years since I saw them at the top of the table, and since I saw them beat Man Utd, and since I saw them win, come to think of it so I savoured every second.
