Campsites in Cheshire

OK, I'm gearing myself up to take ds's (ON MY OWN...) camping for a night for the first time.

We're borrowing a friend's tent (although i've just put a bid on e-bay for one ) so I need somewhere fairly nearby to try the whole thing out.

Can anyone recommend a campsite in the Cheshire area, preferably with playground and definitely with a shop!

There is a new camping and caravanning site in Delamere Forest here It's quite a new site and 'carbon neutral' but I'd like someone to check it out for us and we really fancy going

You are very brave taking the ds's on your own for the first time!

I know..! In for a penny and all that...

Didn't get the tent on ebay but will borrow our friend's tent - am aiming for September 8th/9th but already starting to feel nervous..!

I love Abbey farm in Ormskirk. What about Plassey's in Wrexham?
