He thought I was an intruder and karate chopped me and I flew across two sleeping children and landed back on the airbed!

I was only creeping over his side to get my phone cos somebody sent me a text at 11.38pm and my phone was beeping!!!

Is funny now but he scared my life out (as DS would say).

LOL - well at your being thrown across the tent - but at your DH thinking you were an intruder

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:08

I can't think about it without laughing - I should have just woken him up and told him was I was doing but he is such an insomniac I thought it would be kinder to creep over rather than wake him but I frightening the life out of him!! He didn't hit me,he just sprang at me and I leapt backwards!

Then we laughed for about an hour, esp at what the people in the tent next door must have thought at him going "ARRrRRRRRGH" and me going "it's ME, it's ME".

well at least you know that if someone ever did break into your house your DH would leap to protect you

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:12

he's done it a few times over the years actually, now I think about it. Once when I was drunk and hopping on one leg trying to get my trousers off at the end of the bed and I was crashing about a bit and he sprang into the air at me. Then said, oh sorry, and went back to sleep.

That is very funny! Nearly as funny as the time he nearly strangled you in his sleep!

alycat · 24/08/2007 00:14

I'm laughing so much I can hardly typr, blardy hilarious!!

At the weekend I was drying my hair with my eyes closed (bizarre I know)and My DH came racing into the room. I suddenly heard big loud running footsteps and saw a person and screamed really loudly. Which frightened him so much he screamed went to leap back and fell over. God, crying now at the very though.

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:14

I know, I'm lucky to be alive.

alycat - LOL, actually that is an understatement. I'm having flashbacks.

Flashbacks LOL, its been keeping me entertained all week!

I was incapable of speech at the time and he was really cross for making him (him?) jump, which obv made me laugh even more

maureenmlove · 24/08/2007 00:19

Woohoo! Sorry Hijack again! DH has been paid! phew! Thought it would be a long weekend away with a fiver in my purse!

twinsetandpearls · 24/08/2007 00:19

I would have set fire to his penis for that.

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:22

bit dangerous in a tent though twinset? LOL

OP posts:
Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:23

OP posts:
twinsetandpearls · 24/08/2007 00:23

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:26

twinsetandpearls · 24/08/2007 00:28

sorry am trying to amuse myself while ploughing through my schoolwork

fairysnuff · 24/08/2007 00:32

Sorry just popping in because the thought of you hissing at him in a tent, It's me, it's me had me chortling away here too!!
Thank you!!

Been camping many times and can just imagine you having to whisper to one and other to not further disturb the children or to draw further attention from other campers, who were, of course listening!!
Then ttyring to control your own giggles which only make sthem worse!

Kinda like me now! ROFPMSL

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:34

I yelled, I didn't hiss. He yelled, I yelled, then I did a double back somersault over the kids and collapsed into hysterics.

fairysnuff · 24/08/2007 00:38

Then all your neighbours were defo listening!!
Were the lights out or could all this been seen in silhouette on the walls of your tent?!!
LOL at the idea of witnessing it all on the walls of a dome tent!!

twinsetandpearls · 24/08/2007 00:40

we were once very daft and managed to set out tent on fire a little bit by leaving on nightlights and then falling asleep.

We both woke up togther to see the flames and then proceeded to panic through silent body gestures as we didn;t want to wake our neighbours and have them realise how thick we were.

Kbear · 24/08/2007 00:44

fairy, it was dark thankfully so we just pretended it never happened when we waved cheerily to the neighbours the next day!

So funny.

Thanks for that. Welcome relief after expecting tortured heartfelt sympathy required for abused wife.

You know you've got an alpha male when he responds to intruders like that!

Kbear · 24/08/2007 10:42
