Camping Maisonneuve in Dordogne

Am thinking of booking this www.campingmaisonneuve.com/en/ as it looks idyllic (from my point of view!)

But I do have 2 kids who will be 9 and 11, is it a suitable campsite for that age? I think they will love the river and we can bring their bikes, but they love meeting other kids, would there be English speaking kids there in August?

Also am v tempted the safari tents. Has anyone used them? Would you recommend?

Many thanks!

You will probably just be ok. We stayed near there a few years ago and here were plenty of british kids. We have also stayed somewhere further south nearer Spain and there were very few brits and it was an issue definitely as it was all Dutch and French and they didn't really mix.

You could tell in that once driving back and we're in a level with La Rochelle the number of cars with british plates on the roads increased dramatically

Here's another one to consider:

www.soleilplage.fr/en
Lots of English here and right on the river Dordogne with canoe hire on the doorstep.
