a mallet to bash the pegs in the ground or just push them in?

Take a mallet - it makes things much easier, especially if the ground is hard.

Metal pegs or wooden?

Unless the ground is very hard (in this weather?) a mallet is totally unnecessary for metal pegs - I was erecting our small tent this morning and even ds (5) could push the pegs in by hand.

Metal pegs.
I would immagine they will be easy to push in but maybe i should get a mallet in case.
I will ask in local shop monday.
