Recommendations for good campsites for a baby

Hi everyone,

We bought our first tent yesterday in a great end of season deal, it’s a good one and nice and easy for us beginners! My DH camped when he was younger but it’s my first time and our first time as a family. We are 2 adults and a baby. We are hoping to go in September for a few days when our DD will be 7 months. I was wondering if anyone has any recommendations for campsites for us. We are based in Yorkshire and would prefer a journey of no more than 3 hours for our first trip and perhaps close to the coast (either side).

Having read other threads on here I’m really eager to try Celtic Camping but it’s a 6 hour drive from where we are and might be a bit much for 2 or 3 nights. We’re quite open minded though!

Any suggestions would be appreciated! We would like an electric hook up.

Callow Top in the Peak District is excellent. Baby baths are available from reception for a small refundable deposit and changing facilities are in the ladies & gents toilets in the main amenity block, in the Callow Inn & in the swimming pool changing rooms.

Thank you! I’ll have a look at that now!

Catgill farm next to Bolton Abbey is lovely. Plenty of sinks in the facilities so little one can have a sink bath. There's a coffee bar that opens on a morning selling lovely coffee and warm pastries!
