Eurocamp at Des Ormes - any recent experiences?

I have the happiest memories of Eurocamping as a child, and we’re considering a holiday at Des Ormes in Brittany next year. Some of the recent reviews seem pretty negative - tired and not particularly clean seem to be the main issues, although they’re from people staying in caravans and we’d be in a safari tent. Any recent experiences? Or recommendations of better camps in France? It’s me, DH, and DS who’ll be 4 by the time we go.

Here is a good unofficial Facebook page where you will find lots of pictures and reviews.

The Eurocamp unofficial supporters page is also good for checking out different locations. You can then check direct with the site, Lifestyle holidays, Alfresco, Canvas etc. for prices to compare

Think I went to that site as a child and loved it. 9from a chids view.0As an adult I went on another Eurocamp site and liked that. REviews seem to be either good or bad you don't get many in ther middle.

I’ve never been there but know lots of people who have and rave about it. I’m told they have put in some new stuff recently. Loads of English speakers.

Just on our way home. The Eurocamp safari tents look tiny in comparison to the Canvas ones (which also have a bathroom). There were a few older, tired-looking caravans about but on the whole that wasn't the case at all. We found everything clean and the new dome is great - shame it's not fully open yet.

The selling points for me were the space, especially the 6k cycling route and the cricket pitch and the quietness of our Canvas area (Les Pommiers). There were much busier areas and I wouldn't have wanted to be in them. Weather isn't that much better than UK unfortunately.

Oh and the staff. The shop and boutique staff were unfailingly lovely and polite. The Canvas kids club was also great.

We stayed there abput 6 years ago (so not esp recent) my only criticisms were it was quite far from the beach and it was pretty expensive considering most of the activities were additional extras....but other than that it was great

Yes, far from the beach and I didn't like Dinard (much better beaches at home).
