Corsica with kids

Just wondering if anyone has any gems of advice on travelling to Corsica. Just got back from 2 weeks in Italy with eurocamp and keen to get next year’s holiday booked so I can save. Corsica looks like a good option and always wanted to go there. Has anyone flown? Which campsites are good? Had thought of driving with a few stops but my parents have now said they’d like to come and o hate the idea of travelling in convoy! Any advice gratefully received.

It’s amazing. We flew with easyJet from Manchester, with all our own camping kit and two smallish kids. I’ve written about it on here before so might be worth a search if you haven’t already ... I can recommend some sites - our favourite was camping maggiore at olmeto - but it’s quite a journey from Bastia. The road from the east coast via zonza is particularly twisty for a long way if you’ve got poor travellers! But the horse racing at zonza was fun for an afternoon. Ask if there’s anything else specific you’d like to know.

Ooh thanks for that. I did a search but didn’t find your post. When you say camping gear, did you take a tent? Was thinking of a mobile home type affair. Would 2 weeks be too long? Is it more expensive than France? Thanks

We camped with our own tent - apart from the tent we have very lightweight gear, and I know the weight of everything we take - very minimalist!

There are definitely mobile homes, but I don’t know much about the cost. Tent camping was cheaper than France (currently camping in Verdon)

General costs seemed similar.

We went for three weeks, but I could have stayed forever!
