Places to camp north east

What's the best camp sites around the north east to stay preferably with nice routes to walk.x

EHC? Touring? Kids?

Tent, not bothered about electric and one 5yr old x

Herding Hill Farm is more central than east, but it’s an amazing site and very well positioned for Hadrian’s Wall and the Penine Way. It has a decent play area and petting farm.
Rye Hill Farm is well positioned for some good walks. Children can explore the farm with adult supervision and there are outside play facilities, which include the Mud Pie Kitchen and the games barn which has a skittle alley, table tennis and a pool table. ryehillfarm.co.uk/campsite/
Humble Bee Farm in North Yorkshire is fantastic for kids. humblebeefarm.co.uk Children have run of the farm and campfires are encouraged.

@naomi9313 I’d second Humble Bee Farm but also Baxby Manor & Sleningford are two of my favourites. Both North Yorkshire.

Budle bay campsite, because you are so close to the Northumberland coast

Leekworth was also great and you can walk from low force to high force and have a paddle in the river.
