Non-strenuous things to do near Les Valades?

Booked Les Valades last January with the idea that DS3 and DS4 would do kayaking, cycling, swimming etc. Buy unfortunately DS3 is now recovering from an appendectomy and while he's well and we've been advised he can go, we now have to take things easy. Any ideas for things to do that he might enjoy? He's 14

There are some caves with a tour very close by which are very easy. It depends how easy he needs to take it to be honest.

We did a long kayak down the vezere ?sp river which is much quieter than the dordogne and was manageable for us with one adult and one child per kayak. The minimum age was 5, dd was 4 but she just sat in the kayak and ds (8) and had a go at paddling, so that might still be doable? There are kayaks to mess around in on site so he could see if he is comfortable sitting beforehand.....

Thanks, TheBeeeep, unfortunately, I think kayaking may be too much, going on how difficult he found it last year when he was well. The caves sound brilliant, thank you. Smile

It's a great campsite for relaxing anyway so lots of time by the pool and lake? Day trip to Sarlat. Tbh we meant to do loads of stuff but didn't because we were hanging out at the site so much! Our kids were younger though at the time.

I was also going to recommend kayaking as a passenger iyswim.
Where on the campsite are you getting a pitch? I'd suggest at the lake end to make it less strenuous.
