site in north west england

heading down south to camp near Oxford this summer.

webinar Scotland so a bit of a trek, and we're looking for a site to stop off on the way back to break up the journey

any recommendations for sites in the north west? preferably smallish, for a tent (no need for EHU) but we like campfires

pub nearby would be nice, but not essential

grateful for any suggestions
