Exmoor or New Forest where shall we go?

Going away for a long weekend (3 nights) in August where shall we go? Will be with dh, dd (2.3) and puppy, but like basic campsites, just decent showers and loos and dog walking area, don't want entertainement etc. Anyone got a any good suggestions?

Hollands Wood in the New Forest is supposed to be really nice. Westermill Farm is on the edge of Exmoor and is lovely too.

Hollands Wood in the New Forest is totally the best. Many happy times there, both in childhood and recently. Plus, there's a fudge shop on the seafront that does the BEST fudge in the world!

Whereabouts on the seafront sherida?

When you get into the middle of Lymington, there's a main road straight down, and a cobble street leading to a pub. I can't for the life of me remember the name of the pub,I'll try to find it later. Anyway, said shop is down that cobble street. It's not hard to find, and you'll stumble across it anyway if you're exploring

The Pub is called The Ship. Lymington is my old stomping ground. I will have to check out the fudge shop next time i'm there.
