Please may I have some advice.

We would love to do a family camping holiday but I would like some advice as regards what is the best age to take children camping.

Our son is an active toddler who is very good at locks and zips so advice on child locks for tents (do such things exist?) would be great. We are expecting our second child this summer.

we took our daughters (twins) at age 2 and they were fine. we secured both the zips together with a carbiner clip so they couldn't open the zip, and we got them a readybed, which meant they had a mattress, were contained (as the sleeping bag is attached to the bed) and had a pillow. all the best x

You make sure you have tents with double zips and zip the doors up at the top, out of reach.

Camping is the best thing for an active toddler! Lots to entertain them just so long as you keep an eye out. A campsite I used to go to in Sussex called Wild Boar Wood is run by a couple who live on site all year round with their toddler. He always seems so happy and plays with all the kids that are staying.
