What to wear to a camping wedding in Scotland?

I have a wedding coming up at the end of the June in Scotland. It's a camping beach wedding and I have absolutely no clue what to wear! Firstly, I've never been to Scotland before and I've heard that the weather can be quite tricky and it is not too warm there either. Second, it's camping/outdoor wedding, which makes it even trickier. I know they will have a marquee in case it is pouring all day. We are not camping on site so can't nip to the tent to change whenever we decide. Has anyone have had any experience with outdoor weddings is Scotland? PLEASE HELP!!!

Mossie spray (and lots of it!). Other than that I have no idea but it sounds great.

I don’t know where you’ll be but we went to the highlands at the end of June a couple of years ago and it was pretty cold the whole time. I think layers are probably essential!

I’d assume hippy/boho summer dress and sandals with a huge scarf to wrap up in or sit on...sounds fab.

Layers, definitely. June up here can be chilly!

Avon Skin So Soft for the midges
Sensible shoes/boots
A nice dress
A cardi,wrap, shrug,
A jacket - I personally can't cope with wraps, they get in the way and never keep me warm enough.

And for camping - a hat, and more layers

It's not freezing cold there in summer but it is noticeably colder than down south

Enjoy, it will be gorgeous!

Thank you all!! I'll definitely will bring a mossie spray, my blanket coat and a pair of boots! Better to have layers to remove than to be freezing! I like the idea of a warm wrap too, maybe kind of knitted poncho. Thank you again, this has given me some idea what to expect Smile

Flat shoes, no heels on sand.

Nice summer dress, and leggings tucked in bag to put on underneath when it gets cold.
