Up to 6 hours drive from Calais. It needs to have a pool and be child friendly (but ideally not wildly busy or commercial feeling)

Thank you!

La Domaine du Val in Normandy is lovely. It's a selection of varying sized cabins with an indoor swimming pool, playground, indoor play area, football ground, trampoline, table tennis, bar serving food (with children's area) and gym. What makes it special are the original features, such as the vegetable patch (free produce handed out to guests twice a week), beehive, onsite animals, discovery trail, wicker tepees with picnic tables... It's not in a town, but there's more than enough to do nearby. We went pony trekking on the beach, seal safari and rode the nearby steam train though the nature reserve.

Domaine de masserau has lodges but may be too far south...ty nadan in Brittany also has some last year...

Huttopia! It's a chain with forest settings and various tents and cabins. The cabans are the most swanky but the cahuttes are nice too although smaller. Laid back and very little traffic on the site.
Senonches or Rille would be within 6 hours. Maybe some others.

We loved Sunelia Interlude on Ile de Ré. Right on the beach.

Orangerie de Beauregard near Blois in the Loire area.
Beautiful site, different cabines, lovely pool and really helpful British owners.
We had a wonderful holiday there last summer.
Also lots of culture in the area.
Castles, gardens, city of Tours.
Highly recommended!!!!

Also le Colombier in Normandy, Calvados area.
In an apple orchard, in the grounds of a castle, with nice pool.
Visited this site three times in the past 15 years.
Half an hour from Deauville, Trouville, Honfleur.
Idyllic!!!!

I would agree with fruitpastille as Huttopia sites are great. We have stayed on a few of them and all have been excellent.
