We don't own a EHU lead yet so i am looking to buy one before our trip to camp in France this summer and wondered if a standard one i can buy in the UK is fine or does the lead itself need an adaptor? We will have usual plug adaptors for our UK plugs.

is it something worth getting a brand pr will any old one do? I've seen this eurohike one for £37 is that worth it or can i make do with a cheaper one? thanks

The eurohike one is pretty good. We used the same one in France. Worth the money I think. Don't want to mess about where electricity is concerned haha

thanks, do i need any other type of adaptor to use in france? Or does it just plug in fine and use adaptors if plugging in french fridge etc?

It varies in my experience. I have used a standard 3 pin up hook up in lots of places in France. One place had a 2 pin but they sold adapters for it on site so I'm not sure how common it is.

Got to rush, so link to a previous post.

The modern sites tend to use the same hook up as the UK but there are still some sites that use a different one for which you need an adaptor. I would get both to be safe. The adaptor is small anyway so doesn't take up much space.
