NT Langdale campsite in Lakes - anyone been?

Want to go to this site in August but bit worried as you can't book and if we turn up it will be full. If we planned on getting there for Friday lunchtime what are our chances of getting a pitch?

Yes we went there in August. It was often full by mid-morning, so you need to have an alternative plan as they stick strictly to the limit rules.

this has to be the site I'd most like to stay at but we couldn't risk being turned away without a watertight plan B. Where else could you go instead?

Would that be mid morning anyday or just friday/saturday?

Sorry can't remember. It was in the August school holidays. There must be other campsites down the valley. Look on UKcampsites for a plan B.
