Struggling to find a campsite which will take 3 family but for just 2 nights in summer holidays- after a fri & Saturday night, all want longer or won’t let tents and campervans be by each other...
any recommendations
East coast
Sniffing distance of sea but doesn’t need to be sea side
Shower and toilet all that’s needed!
Dog friendly and fire pit allowed a plus!

Searles in Hunstanton, we stayed last year. Great pool and facilities, clean and 5 minutes from the beach.

Try The Hollies www.thehollieskessingland.co.uk It’s not in Norfolk (it’s north Suffolk right against the Norfolk border) but I think it ticks all of your requirements.
Clippesby Hall is in Norfolk is also worth looking at. They have several different camping fields. Cedar Lawn is the only one which doesn’t have restrictions on the length of stay in the summer. It’s also the most popular. Try ringing them to discuss what you want. They’re very helpful.

We did two nights in Kelling Heath last year in August. I think they advertise as 3 nights thought but by phoning up we got two.

Kelling Heath is the popular place.

Nice one in Stiffkey that seemed fairly relaxed about terms etc, partly because it wasn't all singing and dancing but the toilet/shower block fine. They did have a grain dryer running when we were there so could be worth checking about that as it was a bit noisy. Also another good one in Burnham Thorpe again seemed to have a mish mash of vehicles and tents. It's also take your own horse on holiday place so that's a bit of novelty too

The kinds of places that are more flexible aren't necessarily easy to find online - and sites are fully booked for whole weeks sat-sat so are reluctant to do weekends. The place we use doesn't allow under 14's (I know, brilliant!) but we used os maps and found it that way as not online

If all you want is a pitch and electric though or no electric but fire pits. Check out Breck Farm. It’s pay as you arrive as well. 50p for a shower but it’s cheap as chips.

look up baconsthorpe meadows. searles is awful!!

monicastwinsister · 16/02/2019 20:53

blue skies at wells. deepdale backpackers (do camping too), overstrand (summer school hols only, on pitch up i think). beeston regis holiday park (i think its called).

PalacePalacePalace · 16/02/2019 20:57

We've been to Breck Farm a few times. Fairly basic farm site. Definitely allow fires. We've really enjoyed it and would go back. www.breckfarm.co.uk/booking-request/

Try Manor Farm in East Runton (just outside Cromer) - we've been for just a couple of nights in August before and they definitely have one or two fields that allow dogs. It's not normally that busy and there's a kids' play area. But some of the pitches are on a bit of a slope so choose your pitch well! (There aren't marked pitches except for the serviced ones.)

hellololabells2019 · 18/02/2019 21:06

We stayed at Overstrand. Very basic but amazing location

monicastwinsister · 20/02/2019 16:12

baconsthorpe allows fires/ provides firepits. also look up whitlingham broad campsite as it allows campfires.

monicastwinsister · 20/02/2019 16:13

deers glade is supposed to be a really nice one i`ve heard

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 24/02/2019 15:30

We love Kelling Heath, have been 3yrs in a row.
Deers Glade is also nice but the walks/ steam train at Kelling Heath are great.

We enjoyed Bylaugh camping. Small newish family run site. Big field surrounded by trees and lovely countryside views. Shower blocs were really nice, owners super friendly and helpful
