Hi decided I want to buy a trailer tent . Any connoisseurs out there ?

I would like one that I can set up easily and quickly: for use by the two kids and I ( partner may join us occasionally )

We live in Scotland so it’s got to be weather and wind resistant

I’m only planning to spend 300 -500 pounds

Looking for some suggestions as to which brands or models to buy ?

Are there any classics that are worth looking for. ?

I’m hoping to upgrade to a small caravan in a few years but would love a trailer tent for festivals and short breaks

If it's for just and the kids then have a think about getting a normal tent. I had a trailer tent that I loved but just couldn't put it up without help and so have had to sell it. They can be heavy to move and hitch up.

I have a Decathlon similar to this www.decathlon.co.uk/air-seconds-family-41-xl-id_8384152.html

And for longer trips this Vango Icarus www.gooutdoors.co.uk/vango-icarus-500-deluxe-tent-2012-p201938

I can put both of them up on my own and with good bedding they're just as comfortable as the trailer tent. I really really miss the trailer tent, but just couldn't manage on my own.

We have a Cabanon Chamonix but it cost £7000 and I definitely could not manoeuvre or put it up on my own. It is a 2 adult job. Most trailer tents are canvas too and need to be packed away totally dry so might not be suitable if wet weather camping.

We sold our Trigano Randger for £300 (same as this one) last year. You could put the main part up by yourself easily, but not the awning which needs two adults. We loved ours, and the great thing is that you can make the beds up at home and then just unfold on site.
