Best place to buy a tent from?

My beloved Vango Eos (similar to Beta 350) is tired and worn out and needs replacing. I would need to meet any new tent in person. Where should I try? I know all about Go Outdoors as most of my stuff is from there.

Looking for similar size or smaller, but more wind-proof.

My DS got his first tent for his birthday this year - a Vango one (Helvellyn, IIRC). Cotswold actually turned out to be cheaper than Go Outdoors. Also they do a discount on anything that’s not already reduced if you’re a member of Scouts, Guides, Cadets or a bunch of similar vol orgs.

Decathlon do brilliant tents for reasonable prices. We have a five man air tent- takes 10 mins max to put up/down (even with an interfering toddler), spacious and robust.

Sorry - just re-read your post. Cotswold seldom have more than a couple of tents pitched for display. Go Outdoors is probably your best bet to meet it in person. They’re the only place round here that has a decent size showroom for tents.

We got a 1+1 tent from decathlon about £80 fairly easy to put up

I am tempted by an air tent. I like to tour round a bit so tents go up and down every 3 or 4 days. How wind-proof are they? I'm planning North Scotland again!
