OMG I've just bought a tent!

Finally after weeks of agonising and weighing up of pros and cons we have made a decision and bought a tent.

We ended up going for a Royal Avignon 6 after having very nearly picked the Vango Colorado 800DLX. In the end the Royal won as we think (hope) that the living space is more open and airier and nicer to just lounge around in. We have two very small children and felt that from inside the Vango we couldn't see them very well if they were playing outside. I suspect our tent is going to be a bit of a beast to pitch as it is very heavy but hey you can't have everything.

Am praying it will arrive quickly as DH has some time off work next week and we plan to go camping if tent is here. Yippee!! Can't wait.

We bought a tent at the weekend too, we've bought a vango Aspen 500dlx, we picked it up, it is huge and heavy! Haven't seen a royal avignon, but sounds nice. We'll try and practice putting it up this weekend, as we're off camping next week. Lets hope we all have good weather, I can't wait either!

Both good tents- Royal are tipped as being a hot one to watch atm, and the Vango Aspen is noce too (if the bedrooms work for your family, slightly funny layout but thats the only thing I could find not to love about it)

Tunnel tentsa re v. v easy to pitch- remember to start from one side and work along (too many epole seem to want to do the middle first. my guess is with a bir of practice it'll be a real quickpitch

Thanks for the advice Peachy, no doubt once we get a chance to pitch it, I'll be on here asking for loads of tips.
