I've had a look at Monkton Wyld campsite that someone mentioned last week.

Looks lovely but we could do with a pool (6 kids with us who all want a pool!). Any recommendations in the Dorset/East Devon area please. No evening 'entertainment' ideally, nothing fancy, just a nice quietish site but with a pool. Is that possible?

Why no evening entertainment?

Well it depends on what it is marslady . The last time we stayed at a site with entertainment it was a bloke with a red yokel wig singing Wurzels's songs and waving a carrot about amusingly And then there was the bingo that seemed to go on till midnight ....

I think I was the one who suggested Monkton Wylde, but can only suggest WoodFarm - but I think this was mentioned on old thread.

oh you might get the odd hippy playing a homemade instrument but aside form that...

its really really lovely though, lots of woods and so forth.

We went to Monkton Wyld at half term. It was lovely, incredibly clean toilets and showers! It was also very quiet - apart from our gang.

my mum is treating us to a few days in that area in august

am slightly tempted to stay a few extra days camping
