camping bugs & bites - anything that looks like chickenpox?

DD (2) has come out in spots turning to pustules after our weekend camping. They don't seem to be annoying her, no itching. I don't think it looks like chickepox, she was around much older children (6+) and it would be too soon for the spots to appear. She last went to nursery last Tuesday. I was wondering if these are insects bites. DS (7) and I are fine. Her spots are mainly around her hairline, ears and nappy area.

I have no idea, but I think I'd get her checked out by dr to be on safe side, they sound a bit ick!

When ds1 first came out in a few spots I thought they were bites. Until Pre-school called me to say he had chicken pox. He had some around his hairline and wasn't itchy at all.
If the spots have only just appeared, she would have been exposed to it a couple of weeks ago.

Oh dear. I said to DH to take her to the GP this morning as he had an appointment for himself and he was the one saying I worry over nothing, it's just insects and "you know you never get bitten and DS has your skin, DD has mine". I'll see how she is in the morning, it's her nursery day as luck would have it. She was absolutely fine otherwise, a bit hot, which I put down to sunstroke.

Just to update that DD does indeed have chickenpox. It's starting to itch as well.
