Looking for people who want to go camping!

Hi. I live in St Albans and have a 3 year old girl. I love camping but my husband isn't keen and I'm too chicken to go on my own as I get creepy at night! Are there any other mums out there who live nearby and who might be interested in the occasional camping trip in nice scenery or even a midweek trip to a local campside? I would love to hook up with some other campers. Or does anyone know of any groups or anything where I could meet people like this?? Thanks!

Can't think of anything other than specific festivals eg these if you're feeling brave.
I'd imagine it would be fun to take a childless friend along camping, all girls together kinda thing.

First, uk campsite is a fabulous website here that does meet ups. Also, the caravan and camping club has loads of meet ups in groups where you would be most welcome, details are on their website.

No but there is a wicked camp site in this little place called Stoke near Hartland Quay in west devon.
Can't recall the name but I'm sure you could google it.
Really cool farm place with lambs, working dogs, beautiful coast not far away..........

There is a lovely campsite down here in folkestone (Warren - Little Switzerland campsite) (was voted one of prettiest places in the world) Cant say the same about the town I may add!! But, its by the sea, lovely area, child friendly and no too expensive. I'd come along, got friends that take their children there lots in the summer.
