Big Festival - young teens - ground rules/freedom

Haven't been to the Big Festival for many years. Yung teen dd is going with friends and both mums are wondering what sort of freedom we should allow then. Anyone familiar with the event in recent years willing to chip in their opinions please? Thanks

It depends on the girls, how long they're going for and whether they've been to a festival before. I assume they're camping for at least one night?
Teen and children tickets can only be purchased with at least one adult ticket, so I also assume someone's going with them? If this is the case, I'd suggest to touch base with them briefly mid-afternoon, dinner time and then to meet up with them at 10pm and stay with them for the rest of the evening.
It's a predominantly family festival, and therefore there are no designated family camping areas, so I wouldn't have any problems letting the girls walk through the campsite without an adult. However, make sure the tent is easily identifiable and they they have a torch or know to look out for trip hazards!
I'd maintain that none of them should ever be by themselves, even if they have to go to the toilet in the middle of the night or if one of them wants to catch up on sleep in the tent!
