21 weeks pregnant and camping in New forest

10 of us are going camping to the new forest soon and I will be 21 weeks pregnant. I haven't bought a bed yet because i did't really know what to go for as I will have a bump. Does anyone have any suggestions?

I had an airbed. Found it no more of a faff to get up from than a normal matress tbh, even at about 36 weeks. Take extra pillows in case you need some support.

Borrow or buy a cheap single airbed for this occasion, just for you. If you get the taste for camping, a double self-inflating mat would be a good investment.

Single? Where will Dh sleep?

LOL that's his problem! You need a lilo for your comfort but sharing a double one makes for no sleep whatsoever, esp with a bump and achy bits.

yepp, you better have two singles, so its easier or shall i say comfier than sharing double bed. airbed will be better option than camping bed, i guess.
im almost 30 weeks now and already booked 2 camping sites at 32weeks, and 35weeks. do you think im mad?

Ceolas · 01/06/2007 22:29

divamum, I am 28 weeks and dying to go. Would like a week at about 33-34 weeks and DH says I am mad!

I am 26 weeks and have just got back from camping in Dorset. I have to admit that strangely I got a much better night's sleep on the airbed as I could inflate it to just the right level of squishiness. The bed mattress we have at home is very firm and is proving to be a nightmare at the mo. I would definitely give the airbed a thumbs up. We are planning on going camping again when I am 33 weeks so I am hoping airbed will perform well again.

Back from my 1st camping trip of this year. We spent 8 nights, weather was lovely just missed rain
Got another 2 weeks begining of July, fingers crossed weather will be good for us.
I loved airbed, bump seemed happy on airbed and sleeping bag. Got two sleeping bag, one summer tog one hoigher tog in case its cold at night.
Recommend everyone who preggers to get one of those mini potti thingy. We had it from ebay for 34,99 plus postage.Currently LILD and other shop have them for 29.99 Only usd at nights, but even during the day making toilet was not easy with big bump, walking fast.
happy camping preggers,

Have you a link for the mini pottie thing?

I'm planning on taking the kids away on my own this summer. I'm terrible at needing a pee during the night (no not preggars) and don't want to leave them unattended. I was seriously thinking of taking the toddlers potty
