Tips for putting up a tent in the rain please!

We're going camping on Sunday for four days. First time for ages. After three hot dry months, the place we're going is due an absolute soaking on Sunday - heavy rain forecast all day.

How do I get the tent up in the rain when it's an "inner up first" tent - can't put the fly on until the inner is up? I'm dreading it anyway, but this is making me dread it even more!

We did this at a festival. We simply put it up as normal and then mopped the water out of the inner afterwards. Wasn't pleasant but it was actually fine and not appreciably much wetter once it is mopped out. It rained all weekend so it wasn't like the tent had a chance to dry

Thanks belle. I'll just take plenty of cloths for mopping then, I was just slightly concerned about the fabric of the inner being completely wet but hey ho, the massive gales forecast will probably dry it out......
