Devon perhaps. We've been told the west coast of Devon is lovely. Looking for somewhere in August suitable for 5 YO and dog. Somewhere with good facilities, play area, electric hookup, maybe a pool but not essential. Nice town/area reasonably close by with good beach. We don't like crazy crazy packed places although appreciate it's going to be busy that time of year. Does anyone have any suggestions please? Doesn't have to be Devon but down that way.

Newberry Valley ticks all of your boxes. www.caravansitefinder.co.uk/parks/view/2207-newberry-valley-park

It's within walking distance of the beach and a quick drive to the Ilfracombe. www.visitilfracombe.co.uk

I liked andrewshayes caravan park (takes tents too!). We went last year and it rained EVERY day, so we made full use of the under cover swimming pool. Nice play area too. Only thing is the location - not exactly central or next to a beach, but I didn't mind a bit of a drive to get places and I think the location is why it's reasonably priced compared to some beach-front campsites I've stayed at.
