For the garden trial
Dh wanted to put it up on sunday night but our grassed area is smaller than the tent
We don't have a big garden at all but I didn't realise it was that small.
The tent is 20 feet by 25 feet
Are we mad to trial it in the field behind our house??

No, we tried ours in the local park when we lived in a place without a garden.
We had a friendly enquiry from a park ranger who wanted to check we weren't planning to camp out there, lol.

you really need to have a trial run if at all possible. we took ours down the park to test it out. didn't realise there would be some kind of recital going on at the time, place was packed and everyone thought we were some kind of stall

Go for it.
Do you know who owns the field? Could you just check it ok with them...just in case they think you plan to stay!

would go on the field or to the park!

TheDevilWearsPrimark · 25/05/2007 11:05

It depends on the park I guess. Ours is a 'royal park' so goes into complete lockdown after sunset. I'm sure some more rural parks would allow it/not care?

magnolia1 · 25/05/2007 11:06

The park rangers don't come down this bit, they just close the gates by the swings ect....
Oh well i guess he can try

We couldn't try ours out in the garden either. Well we tried but only the central chamber fitted (sleeps 6). Gonna pack the damn thing in the car and DH will set it up at the Hay festival tomorrow with DD5yo and DD6yo while DS9yo and I are at a talk

Ours is too big for the garden so we took it to the playing fields up the road. It was ok apart from a passing dog trying to nick our mallet .
