6month old in VWT5 Cab bed

Hi,
Does anyone have any experience of a 6 month old sleeping in one of the Cab beds? I'm worried that she might disappear down into the footwell. Any advice, experience ideas much appreciated

I am not sure I would risk it to be honest. When dd2 was a baby we put her in a Koodi travel cot which fitted between the end of the rock and roll bed and the cab. We bought a thicker mattress for it because the one it comes with seems really hard and thin. She went in the poptop from around 3 with a net to stop her rolling out.

I wouldn't do it - we had ds in a cab bed in our bongo when he was about 18 months and he did end up in the footwell. Thankfully no damage (to him not the bongo 😀) but that was it for me and he slept in the back with us until we sold it for a caravan.

We're currently traveling Europe in a T4 with a now 8 mo (was just turned 6mo when we set off). We're managing all sleeping on the rock n roll bed. I was worried before we set off, and it took a few nights to get the positions right, but it works for us. We do take occasional time out in Airbnbs though!

Thanks all for the advice. We have bought a cab ‘hammock’ from a company called Stiches and Steel. It rests on the front seats but is secured around headrests and visors. Means she can’t roll out so fingers crossed she likes it! We go on Tuesday so we’ll soon find out. I’ve warned the husband he might be out in the awning if she doesn’t 😂
