Campsites that allow you to make a real fire?

Hi, we haven't been camping this year, yet, but thought we'd like to try something a bit more 'natural'. We've tending to go for sites without entertainment, but still with a play area for the children etc. Dh and I fancy the idea of making a proper camp fire, we don't have electric hook up - so not bothered about that, but I couldn't cope without loo's and showers.

Does such a place exist? We're down south.

There is a section on UKcampsite.co.uk that specifies sites where you can have fires.

we know a lovely one near corfe, Steeple leeze. It's a working farm, with very basic ammenities but is a fab experience for the kids. Loads and loads of room, a small forest bit where you can collect wood aslong as you don't take it off the trees and really cheap about a tenner a night.

We know one in Norfolk where you can have big fires and it's only £7 a night. Unfortunatley it's full of drugs and your kids will get beaten up in the sand dunes.

We are going to one near Lambourne where you can have real fires. Found it on UK Campsite but saw it in the Guardian review last week
