Keycamp/Eurocamp bike hire question

We are heading to the Vendee next week with Keycamp. I believe we can hire bikes on site. Does anyone know if, generally, children's bikes are available for hire as well as adult bikes? I only ask because we stayed at a hotel earlier this year where bike hire was included as part of the All Inclusive plan but although it was a family orientated resort they did not hire out kids bikes for safety reasons. Thanks.

When we had a Eurocamp holiday - Keycamp also on site - the campsite had both. HTH!

It was the actual campsite that rented the bikes at the site we were on, rather than the camping companies - at least I think so!

hedghog, why not email Keycamp and ask them - if it is the campsite itself, see if you can email them direct and ask. (How many of you are there? Could you take your own bikes instead?)

Have a look here at Bike Carriers. They are dead useful! (Though of course rear-mounted ones make the car longer, and roof-mounted ones make it higher, which can affect your ferry fare/space.)

Just a thought - see if it is possible to pre-book the bikes with the site. If not, try and hire the bikes as soon as you get there - we waited until the next day and they were all gone.

The site we were on recently hired bikes directly. They had a full range of mens, womens, some with child seats and various sizes of kids bikes with & without stabilizers. They were available by the hour, half day, day or week.

We have just come back from St Julien des Landes in the Vendee. We could hire all manner of bikes, including trailers. Ds loved his, dd not so keen after she fell off the bike!

Great site and we all had the most fantastic time. The kids could go to the playground on their own! For the first time ever and they were so happy bless them!

I have stayed on quite a few sites in France adn every one has had its own bike hire bit. Never had any probs hiring kids bikes - I did try to persuade dp to get a bike carrier but he says that we are loaded up enough
