Huttopia Ile de Re / Île d’Oléron

We’re thinking of camping this summer on one of the Huttopia campsites on Île de Ré or Île d’Oléron - they all look lovely, but just wondered if anyone has any recommendations? First camping trip in France although we are seasoned Uk campers. Also, is the journey from Calais doable in a day?

We've been on holiday further south and done the drive in a day. Probably takes about 6 ish hours without stops. Depends on how many you need as to actual length. Get to Calais early and you'll be there late afternoon.
