Looking for campsite near Exeter where we can hire a tent

We quite fancy the idea of camping but don't want to go to the expense of buying a tent and all the paraphernalia if it then doesn't work. So are there any campsites where they rent tents that you'd recommend? We'd prefer near Exeter so we can see little cousins, but if there's nothing round there, we're happy to go somewhere else in the south. We're a couple with a 3yo and 1yo. Do we need anything that wouldn't be provided with the tent? Oh, and we want to go for a couple of nights in the next bank holiday - not sure if we've left it too late!

mm I've had a quick look round and the only 2 places that i can see that do 'Eurotents' as they are called are Yeo Valley Holiday Park in N Devon and Trevornick near Newquay - so not sure whether they are any use?

They are pretty much well equipped with most things, not sure about bedding though.

Your other alternative is to book a caravan on a site that has tents and go visiting lots of people in their tents to see if you like the 'vibes'

Aaahh, I didn't know what they were called so I kept searching for tents for hire and getting loads of marquee sites! I'll have a look at the two you suggest. Thanks again.
