Can I get a decent campervan for under 10k?

I am really experienced, and have a verity of tents including a trailer tent.

Just DD (10yo) and me. Don't want a toilet or shower on-board. Not even fussed about having a kitchen inside. So like my trailer tent (I took the kitchen out), but without the aggro of towing.

Can I get a decent one for under 10k?

Also wondering if anyone has ditched their car and use their campervan.
I don't drive to work. School run is a walk.

What did you think of the Bongo? We're currently looking at them and are surprised at the configurations available

We had a Bongo, bloomin loved it. We didn't bother with converting with kitchens etc. ds had the pop top for sleeping and we had the folded down seats downstairs with a futon mattress thrown over for extra comfort. Large driveaway awning with a camp kitchen was brilliant.
We used it as our day to day runaround as well and it was great. Just had to be careful of height restrictions in car parks due to the pop top.
We paid about £7k for the Bongo plus a few hundred for awnings and other bits and bobs.
