Where can I buy one on the high street - do most hardware shops sell them? It's not something I've really looked for before!

nappy bin? baby shops?

There are lots of these in those cheap tat shops - where you can get everything for £1 except the thng you want wich is then £2.99

Ask at a cafe if they have any catering size mayo buckets. these are often 9 or 10 litre buckets with a sealable lid. FAB things to have around for so many uses.

Mini dustbin shaped bins, pound shop or Wilkinsons-type places.

StripeyKnickersSpottySocks · 01/05/2007 21:06

How about an old 10ltr paint pot?

Blandmum · 01/05/2007 21:07

nappy bin in mother care

Nemo2007 · 01/05/2007 21:08

nappy bin from boots or toys r us is aroun£3.99 thats what we use.

I MUST get one of these for this year. I had too many near-overflow situations in the middle of the night perched on dd's potty.

Blandmum · 02/05/2007 10:16

LOL at that immage Surfermum. Puts a whole new spin on your name!

I found ours invaluable at night, especialy when I went camping without dh and just with the kids.....didn't feel happy leaving them alone in the tent while I went for a pee.

cremolafoam · 02/05/2007 10:22

where do you put the emergency loo then? do you have a special tent for it.

just interested as we are going camping t the end of this month

Surfermum · 02/05/2007 10:34

I either put it in one of the compartments where we keep our clothes and coats and other stuff, or just outside our bedroom door (depending on how much I've drunk!). What I always forget is to put the loo roll and a carrier bag handy. I only use it at night though.

cremolafoam · 02/05/2007 10:37

oh OK. makes me giggle don't know why

busy2busy · 02/05/2007 10:50

maybe a bit deluxe - but I've just bought this luggable loo

'tis great.

Blandmum · 02/05/2007 10:51

when not is use, and empty ours is stoed between the two bedroom inners. can't get knocked over etc

Bucketsofdynomite · 07/05/2007 20:40

We take one of our nappy buckets (Whitefurze brand with snug lid from local hardware store)and keep it by the door, then just outside when used.
