Sleeping bag recommendations for wriggly 8 yr old

I am thinking of getting him the Outwell Cardinal as it looks a bit less restrictive. He spends the night trying to get out of the bag and I am worried about him getting cold (plus it keeps me awake as he is next to me).

He just has a asda sleeping bag at the moment which I put a fleece blanket over for when he gets his arms out in the night.

Realise it may be too late to respond but our five year old is fine in one of the “sleeping pod” things, plenty of room to move around and stays warm. Like a sleeping bag but more of a circle shape
