We are going camping in cornwall end of may, the campsite is in a valley, we are not sure what to use for the television reception because we have been told that there is a very poor signal for televisions. we are unsure if to use a freeview box and high gain ariel or go for a sky dish or even one of the freesat boxes and dishes, please help

Dare I suggest a tv free break ? All sounds more hassle than it is worth tbh.

I don't like primitive camping, won't go without ehu cos couldn't possible live without my hair straighteners and the electric cool box BUT the one thing I insist on is NO TV or you may as well be at home.
I do compromise slightly in that we do take our small portable dvd player for the journey and the kids (13, 12 and 7) can only watch it while we are there if it is bad weather in the evening.
In the evening we play games eg uno, monopoly, cards, dominoes, draughts, and the kids love it.
