Hya

We bought the INdiana last week, taking it out Friday. I'm no new camper, I will give you a review Monday if that helps?

The Khyam harvard is a nice enough tent but quite small in comparison.

What I would say-

We like the polycotton but different tents suit and all that, and so we bought the normal version for less money, if we like it we will sell on ebay next spring (we usually make at least half the money abck doing that- its about timing, early - mid April) and upgrade to the polycotton; if not so good as we thought, can either stick or go to a different model. We paid £199 for ours.

However, other than fabrics the tents are indentical (hey we even have the carpet lol) so will let you know X

Sal, they do the SAME tent in polyester cheaper!

But I did go in some of the otwell polycottons over eastr when it ws hot, boy were they much nicer to be in!

Probably too late and I can't do links anyway, but have a look at the Stunning Tents Company Varrie Tentipi. We used to have a Kayham dome tent, but the tipi is FABULOUS! Any questions, ask here. An no, I'm not on commission, but I wish I was!

"Khyam Harvard Deluxe Family Tunnel Dome Tent or Khyam Indiana 8 Polycotton Family Tunnel Tent ? "

nononononononono

we had a harvard

it collapsed on us in mildly pissing rain (ie not a gale or anything, just enough to put it in a bad mood, I expect)

and it looked like old ladies tights

and then i had to take a 3 month break from MN

have a nice blue tent now, feck knows which, a nice upright one

am absolutely and impressed that anyone can remember which tent other MNnnets have though...

We've just bought the Indiana 8TC so will be keen to see how it performs for you Peachy! We found it cheapest at Khyam Indiana 8TC

but bought it from this company intertent as they had a price match promise - I called them with the website details and they matched the cheapes prices we had found for the tent, some Outwell self-inflating mats, a Coleman sleeping bag and a Camping Chef stove. Ordered last Tuesday and was delivered this Monday. Would have been sooner but the sleeping bag was in their other store.

Khyam Indiana 8TC

That'll teach me to check the link first!

noooooooooooooooooonooooooooooooooooooooooo

Can I rave a bit more about the tenttipi? It takes dp and me about 10 minutes to put it up - (20 minutes if the children help us!). It packs down to a bag that I can easily carry - unlike the Kyham, which too both of us to get into the car! It's beautiful, has lots of room, we can put out firepot in the middle if it's cold. We have woken up with frost on the outside and we've been warm(ish) inside - it's the best thing we've ever bought!

PeachyChocolateEClair · 19/04/2007 10:36

There is no way on this planet Dh would ever touch a tentipi!

We got our Khyam from the local camping store (will post a link) for £199, and as it was ajust a 20 minute drive adn wecould see it up we were more than happy (supporting local business and all that)

PeachyChocolateEClair · 19/04/2007 10:37

here

not sure I ever spotted many kites there though

Filly you'd like it- beautiful Usk countryside and loads up
