well we're going to cheddar at the weekend

so why not?

Just take woolly hats, a few extra blankets and relatively little in the way of bathing attire.

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 14:51

it would have been fine for easter - gotten a bit chilly now. hoping bank hols will be better, hoping for a trip to Helston Flora and lots of spingo!

Tigana · 16/04/2007 15:25

We usually go camping in Cornwall from the 1st bank holiday in May.

Take warm clothes for when the sun goes down (and in case of lack of sun generally!) and spare shoes/socks for when yours get soaked through walking through wet field and will not dry by morning!

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 15:26

ah am spending all day every day at eden project, i think

just don't want kids to get too cold at night cos that makes them grumpy

FrozenSandwichShortofapicnic · 16/04/2007 15:26

so not Devon then? Are you going to do Eden?

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 15:34

oh i dunno, when i said devon I jsut meant South...generally...

I don't know about such things. there is cardiff and there is london and in between it all gets a bit feral

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 16/04/2007 15:36

depends entirely on the weather

I refer you to the Badger's trip to the Isle of Wight last May.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 16/04/2007 15:44

'in between it all gets a bit feral'

You're not wrong there!!

Tigana · 16/04/2007 15:46

Hint - if you are Cornwall and want to survive - do NOT refer to it as Devon! The locals will use your guts to make pasties .

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 15:47

oh god is this the one where your tent collapsed?

my sodding old-ladies tights khyam (not the posh kind though)collapsed on us last year, did i mention that

so i got another tent, buggered if i can remember what, but its blue

OP posts:
MrsBadger · 16/04/2007 16:04

yes it was

you'll be fine if you pick a weekend without gales...

PeachyChocolateEClair · 16/04/2007 19:07

given I just bought a Khyam (NOT QE!) could you please be a bit more spotive about them........

!!

Supposed to be OK this weekend though, so worth a trip.

Fillyjonk · 16/04/2007 19:10

oh gosh peachy, it will be fine

I'm sure it won't collapse upon you in the middle of a rainstorm, drenching you and your family and ALL your belongings.

oh no i'm sure it won't do that

ps mine was a harvard

OP posts:
PeachyChocolateEClair · 16/04/2007 19:13

mine's the new ontario 8

nearly bought Mum a Harvard!!!! Glad I didn't LOL!

Shan't mention this to DH, not worth the panic

or is it......
