Also join a few camping/caravanning web forum boards

PeachyChocolateEClair · 10/04/2007 19:44

Fiofio are adverts for urinary incontinence aids really your idea of a nice mag then???

How about Broadway House in Cheddar? Very good for outdoorsy type kids, they organise activities from the site and have a huge adventure palyground etc

or any fo0 the forest holidays sites- they're great as a base for cycling, we're going to the forest of dean for may day and new forest for my birthday.

Agree, uk campsite is my favourite with lots of helpful reviews.

We spent Easter at Grange Farm on the Isle of Wight. Absolutely brilliant!

Went to Marton Mere in October and it had the most appalling touring facilities I've ever seen. Everyone complained. Each pitch was ankle deep in mud and sewage poured out of the doors of the toilet blocks for 5 days without being fixed. The pitches were so close together it was claustrophobic and probably illegal.

Presumably it was better for you but there are dozens of fantastic sites out there waiting! Have fun!

Peachy, do you have a link for the new forest site? I fancy going there for Whitsun.

PeachyChocolateEClair · 10/04/2007 20:04

here I especially like holmsley and hollands wood, but do book ASAP

and
this
is the cheddar one, a trek but worth it imo

PeachyChocolateEClair · 10/04/2007 20:07

Ah the big sites guide is fab

but youn get this dodgy monthly mag with ads for all sorts of 'elderly aids' (oooh the excitement in our household when we realised that urine bottles now come in red as wella s cream ) and bickering about stuff like should ladies be allowed to the toilet block in their nightwear and dressing gowns

fgs

most of them probably wear less the rest of the time on holiday!

wheresthehamster · 10/04/2007 20:09

Looks good, thanks.

i must admit that marton mere we was disappointed the showers were so hot couldnt stand under them i complained about them he just said dont use it has got so dear this teim lucky enough for use we had good weather the pub was so crowded people were standing the amusemnets kept going faulty a big let down this time we was on teh premier pitch and well im disgusted the basic pitches got better facilites and more room than us and we were that close to the entertainment at night we heard them all comin home at night and th music so we in no rush to go bk either big dispoainted but the kids love the caravn and bikin we did me dad was brave to take bikes as well and we loved that bit gonna have a look now what recomended

Yes, we like Nodes Point and Lower Hyde (IoW PArk Resorts sites), although of course you have to pay for the ferry. Weren't too keen on kessingland.
