You know how a tent doesn't look ^that^ big when it is in a field full of others?

men, eh?

Dh is contemplating the Vango Aspen now, as ours econd tent. we need a weekender but 3 kids, 2 asd, mean space is essential. Looks nice though.

I'd be quite keen on that, he was thinking of the Vario range but I think they look like Nissen huts.

Tahoma? 7 metres X 7 metres.

The weekender needs to be less than five meteres down one side to count for C&CC sites, so the Aspena ctually fits! And we've looked at all the proper weekend ones and thought- nah, we just can't. Not with the boys. DS1 has to have SPACE!

we said the same when we put up ours in the garden last autumn. Still not tried it 'for real' yet. Its a one of these

PeachyChocolateEClair · 08/04/2007 19:56

Oooh I like Wynnster tents, nice and light!

Quite amusing, when I remember my backpacking days . I can't even drag ours alone!

Ours just fitted in the garden but without all the guy ropes & the awning flap thingy (note how I use the techincal terms !)

Today we bought a lamp, bed for DS, double for us & some pans !

erm would that be the porch door Whizzz? LOL

We ahd an Argos proaction before the gelert- it was fine, but the Gelert was in comparison!

Bought Dh camping gaz party combo for his birthday, we had the smaller version last year and it was fabulous.

Also need camp beds for the boys, sick of airbeds that collapse at 2 am (ds1 and ds3 chew them)

Whizzz · 08/04/2007 20:49

oo yes ! That will be it Peachy !!

We had a shock when we put our tent up on the local playing field, it was huge. Dh maintains that he's taking a snooker table with him in case the weather is bad!

We bought a 12 man tent for the four of us (blush) because I just couldn't be squashed in like sardines! Having said that, on our first night camping our 2yr old was unsettled so came in with us and then an hour later our 7yr old came in. Four bedroomed tent and we're all squashed onto one double airbed - fun. I don't think our tent looks that big though even though everyone ribs us about it!
