What are my options?

We have mini 190's + stoves to tie us over but we have another 2 weeks to go on a double burner and 4 adults, 2 children.

It's. 1.8 k canister from Go Outdoors and we are moving North slowly every few days soon. Advice greatly appreciated.

Very many larger supermarkets have them. Look inside the shop, not in the gas cylinder section at the garage.

I think you'd be able to get one at one of the large hyper market places. They've always seemed very geared up for camping over there when I've been.

Ask the campsite manager?

Silvergran68 · 11/08/2017 08:35

Don't forget to take in your empty cylinder to exchange.

See if you can find a decathlon or go sport nearby?

WelshMoth · 11/08/2017 08:55

Ok - but will Go Outdoors have a fit if we leave the canister in France? clueless

Go outdoors will possibly refuse to swap the bottle for refill, and you will have to buy another bottle and refill if you are going camping in the UK again.

On the other hand, if you only camp in France then next time you can just bring the empty and swap for a refill on the way down next time.

Who cares what Go Outoors think anyway - you need fuel!

Good point Claudia. We're
Off to Decathlon anyway to buy fleece blankets so we'll take the canister. Thank you.

Thanks everyone!

We've returned to the uk and exchanged cylinders easily for years. Our only problem was a grey coloured canister which came from Greece and we even managed to get rid of that at a uk garage.
