Is anyone else Boycotting Forest Holidays this year - HUGE price rises!

We were about to book to go to the New Forest, would cost £140 for the Bank Holiday weekend!!!!

ALmost £20 per night, plus extra adult (DD is 16) plus child plus gazebo, and they make you pay for 4 nights minimum for a Bank Holiday weekend (and I have no holiday so have to go back to work on the Tuesday so it wouyld be wasted)

Last year prices were more that £5 per night cheaper!

UKCampsite forums are full of disgruntled campers since the Caravan & Camping Club took over Forest Holidays.

SallyStrawberry - can you still afford to go to Bracelands?

We're going, mainly because we're in the caravan and camping club. Its quite cheap- £65 for 4 nights for 5 of us (3 kids, 2 adults)over my birthday in July.

Best suggestion is that the club membership is only £35 and you easily make that back in a few weekends ime.

Its worth it Sal, they've got nice sites and some others (such as good old Wood Farm) give a disocunt to members off their own back. Oh, and you get the tent mags even when its out of season to keep you going

Their Cardigan Bay site s adorable, esp. for those who have kids but don't want loads of poeple / noise. There were bats flying over our tent- wow!

I do object to having to pay for 4 nights on a BH weekend though, especially when you are already paying High Season rates.

We have just booked to go to a Farm for that weekend, should be fun!

We just booked for 3 nigts May Bank Holiday at Chrsitchurch and were charged three nights.
