Good camp bed for crotchety non-camping DH?

Having checked the prices for holidays in France next year, I have concluded that I will either need to sell a kidney or we will have to rethink if we want to do more than a longish weekend.
So I've suggested to DH that we bite the bullet and camp as the cost is a fraction and we're hardly ever in the super duper expensive mobile home anyway. The money we will save means that we can upgrade those bits of camping equipment that need it
He's in almost agreement (I'll wait till he's had a beer on Friday and his defences are down, then corner him again Grin) on the proviso that we furnish him with a decent bed.
I'm therefore after recommendations for camp beds that are almost normal bed height and will not render him immobile by the first morning. Within reason cost isn't an issue as I feel the bed will be the make or break of our adventure Smile

I am having to buy a camp bed this year. I sleep on a Thermarest foam pad plus a SIM when we car camp but I am having a hysterectomy shortly which has meant that I have had to rethink it for this year.

I don't want to be getting up off the floor and want the sturdiest bed I can find as I don't want to hurt myself.

I am going for an Oztent Gecko here.

Do folding campers have toilets and running water?

I'd love a caravan or folding camper. But DP and I haven't yet used the rather expensive camping stuff we got a few years ago.

A decent camp bed can be hard to find, but I can't say that I've looked recently in the last decade but I'm having a look at the ones recommended. Might be enough to persuade DP to go camping this summer.

Forgot to ask, can you get double camping beds? DP and I have a double sleeping bag and seems totally pointless if we can't get a double bed.

blood The Outwell Posada bed comes in a double and is great because the mattress bit of it is split (with a metal bar)so you don't annoy each other if you move /turn over in bed. We use a SIM on top which sits quite nicely as it has a bit in the middle to lay over where the bed splits.

Yes, blood, they do. The Pathfinder and the Coleman crusader have a loo with the body of the trailer. We have a really good camping loo (wee only) that we use at night in the awning with a rather fetching shower curtain arrangement round it! All of them have sinks and taps. Some of the posh ones have hot running water and ovens with the cooker. It's like a caravan but smaller but easier to tow. The downside is you've got to unpack it all. Putting it up is quite quick. Awning is a bit of a bugger. It's a cross between tenting and caravaning. Much, much cheaper than a caravan. Pros and cons.
