Thinking of starting out.

Hi guys,

DH & I were thinking of starting out camping. There's us 2 & 2 DS's 5 & 2.

We go caravaning every year & my dad has a canal boat so we're familiar with a simplistic holiday.

What are the reasons you guys love camping?

Leaving the faff of city life behind
Waking to the smell of earth and trees, and the sound of birds
Cuddling in a cosy sleeping bag at night
The satisfaction of making your own little "home" for a weekend
Having a nice beer under the stars
Plus it's cheap as chips

(DH also likes the camping prep of carefully choosing the right camping chairs/stove/mugs etc, and the baby likes being able to sit on a picnic rug stuffing handfuls of grass into her mouth)
