Basic and quiet campsites bank holiday weekend

Hello,

We are usually festival campers which means camping in a very crowded fields with 1000s of others. I fancy a quieter weekend camping somewhere the view is not of 1000 of others tents but beautiful countryside. We are looking to go for the August Bank Holiday in the Surrey/Hampshire/Sussex area. Preferably somewhere that allows either fire pits or camp fires. Maybe a farm we can buy local meat/eggs from. As festival goers we are used to pretty basic standards of loos and showers (which are in fact optional as we are only going for 3 nights)

Any recomendations?

TIA

We have just got back from housedean farm in lewes, East Sussex. It's a working farm and has wonderful views and only about 30 pitches so very quiet. Flushing loos and great showers were an added bonus. Fire pits at every pitch and coast 15 mins away. We absolutely loved it

Have a look at the Camping Unplugged website, their sites are as you describe, we've been to Inwood and Abbotstone, preferred Abbotstone as there was a faint hum of traffic from the M3 at Inwood.
