Outwell Indiana 8 tent- any advice?

We actually have the older version of this, the Colorado 8.

I guess the main question is whether you want a completely bug free tent as the Indiana has a fold-up-the-sides groundsheet that you fasten with toggles - not a complete SIG.

They have one up in Go Outdoors if you want a peruse!

btw which show are you going to on the 31st? is it local?

I have the older version it was called the colorado in those days. Not so many fetures as he indiana.

My tent is utterly fabbo.

The indiana will be great!

Have you looked at the khyam kansas 8? £199 and has fully sewn in ground sheet and is huge. That is what we are saving up for.

We are hopefully putting ours up this weekend (weather permitting) to see what we have really bought . We did pay £300 for it though from Yeomans. Will let you know if it was worth it next week.
We did do lots, and lots, and lots, and lots of searching both physically and on the net, and it was the best we could come up with for us. My dh was a little coy shall we say about the price to start with. When camping was first mentioned he wasn't going to spend anymore that £100 on everything..............How things change

By the way if you find it cheaper i don't want to know.

Don't forget the indiana comes with a huge canopy at the front, but know what you mean about the side one (have seen pics too). Think I will see how we get on first but can imagine getting one later

I can't believe you've not been - it's fab! there is a whole mezzanine floor full of tents, although looking at their website I can't see an Indiana, so it might be worth phoning them before you go.

it costs £4 for a card but the savings are well worth it!

We started camping last year and bought a cheap tent in case we didn't enjoy it, but dh was forever moaning that his head was touching the top all of the time, the family next to us had an indy 8 and we fell in love with it and just had to have one. Dh can stand up everywhere.

Agree, yeomans is cheapest cos that's where ours was from.

watch out for the cow pats in that field giraffeski - good show but as you say it's a touch late in the season to buy your tent - especially if you want to use it at Whit.

Well we managed to get it up, and were very proud of ourselves. However it had a flaw in the roof, so we've got to take it back.
Word of warning, Yeomans haven't got anymore in stock, and are not stocking it anymore. So our search starts again for one from somewhere else.
Looked fab up though, so def going to stick with the make.

But well done on getting the thing up, it's quite straightforward isn't it?

Have you looked at Outdoor megastore they have them for £349, with 10% off if you order before midnight today! and that includes delivery of course.

Thanks for the tip lucycat. Will get dh on to it straight away.
It was very straight foward to put up even for 2 people who have only ever put a beach shelter up in their lives before, and that can be quite a task .Was rather proud that we managed to get it all back in the bag as well

ahh yes that's the tricky bit! you get it out of the bag ok, but then when you've rolled it all back up, and looked at how big the bag is, it's a case of 'how the bloody hell.........'

You'll find you become an expert and all those dome tent owners will look on in envy as you're all pegged out in 30 mins and supping wine.....

You do realise we'll need a photo when you've first camped seriously in it?
