Minimal packing for camping in France

We're planning on lots of pitching up and packing this year in France so minimalist packing is essential.

My kitchen box is too big and this year, I want to whittle it down to something manageable.

Please tell me your kitchen box and how you store it. This of course doesn't include the stove.

We use a plastic drawer storage tower for kitchen stuff. I think ours was from Tesco, and I didn't put the wheels on when building it.

It works really well as easy to get things out from different drawers without having to root around inside a big box and has a top which is good when on site for coffee, tea, kettle etc.

Also, it sits in the back of car when travelling so we can get plates, salt etc out if we stop anywhere for meals.

Three drawers? I have one in the attic!

I use a 2 tier rectangular cake store from lidl, about 30 x 20 x 12cm. I use takeaway boxes in the top to partition cutlery/matches etc, and fits spatulas etc in too. The bottom half holds foil, cling film, washing powder tablets, tea towels etc. A bit like this.

Then I have a 10l box for plates/bowls/mugs etc. Everything stays in the boxes on site, although I separate the 2 tier one to stand on the kitchen stand and rearrange the plates to stand up, so it acts as a cupboard, but there's no need to do that.

Someone here last year repurposed a fishing tackle case- think it was on wheels which I though was an excellent idea.

I keep all cutlery, utensils etc in a plastic tool box from a DIY shop. Plates etc are in a picnic bag, along with kitchen roll, condiments, cling film etc.
We don't just use them for camping, but also for day trips, picnics etc, so they're easily accessible and not too bulky like this.
