I really don't need anything else, and nothing more will fit in the car.

But I would like a good canvas tarp.

What about you!

I would love a new tent and have my eye on this but doubt it will happen for a while. Lovely new tent Grin

Blu · 15/11/2016 07:09

Looks good, hillbilly. I like the little rain porch over the side door. Makes all the difference.

I was wondering about a Dutch Pot / Dutch oven to use on the fire, too.

I have bought new head torches for the kids. We have about 5 in the camping bag and every time we go I end up cursing over the lack of effectiveness of at least 3 of them so I have finally thrown the crap ones away :-)

CMOTDibbler · 15/11/2016 11:06

I have a firepit, and a new chair on mine, ds has a marshmallow toasting kit on his

profpoopsnagle · 15/11/2016 18:59

I do not need anything for camping.

We have to replace our EHU unit which broke as we were striking on the last day this year. But that's not very rock and roll really.

I just want DH to confirm his holiday so I can get booking sites!

TiggyD · 19/11/2016 09:18

New tarp to make my porch area a bit bigger. Possibly some new extendable poles for it.

profpoopsnagle · 19/11/2016 13:06

I've ordered the cooking accessories to go with a kelly kettle for DH. He's had the kettle for years.

And I have put a Big Red Fire Bucket on my list!

Blu · 20/11/2016 08:23

Ooh, does it say Fire on it? Is it metal or plastic?

OP posts:
cece · 20/11/2016 08:30

I may have bought a trangia for DH to give me. Grin

Blu · 20/11/2016 08:41

Heh heh!
I may be acquiring a canvas tarp by the same means Grin

DH wants a new lightweight tent. Definitely a 'thneed'.

profpoopsnagle · 22/11/2016 17:46

Having researched the price of Big Red Fire buckets, I may be getting a silver one instead, and putting the stickers on myself! Grin

The Kelly kettle accessories arrived today and I am very pleased with them- super cute.

For those of you that hanker after a Cobb, they have some good deals on for Christmas, albeit you have to buy a set.

Love those Blu Grin

Blu · 23/11/2016 20:11

But Prof, then it won't be red, and it will be used like an ordinary bucket and no-one will admire it! These are only £15 without a id. Though I like the lid www.thesafetycentre.co.uk/store/fire_extinguishers_and_fire_blankets/fire_bucket_range/metal_fire_bucket_flat_bottom_3745_00.php?gclid=CPCHz4bXv9ACFckaGwodjH8ApQ

(I note it says this bucket is for sand. were you thinking sand, or water? I generally have a very crappy old bucket with water in it near our fire).

OP posts:
profpoopsnagle · 23/11/2016 21:32

Yes, it needs to be red and most definitely say FIRE on it. Otherwise there's no point. I was wondering if it was possible to paint a bucket.

But thanks for that link- that's a better price than I have found. We had a fireman come and check our extinguishers at work today, I should have cornered him to ask where the best value buckets can be found.

I'll put water in it, and I think a lid too. I might also need a hi-vis jacket with Air Raid Warden....

Blu · 23/11/2016 23:29

Yellow oilskin overalls?

Love that Blu. I have ordered 2 for me the kids Grin

harderandharder2breathe · 05/12/2016 17:55

Blow up bed is on my list after I was jealous of everyone else at scout camp in the summer! The site was previously crops so rather lumpy bumpy!

SixthSenseless · 08/12/2016 07:40

Have they arrived hillbilly? Because in your link it shows 3 for the price of 2 so you might not have to nick the kids' .

It was a cheap money off deal when I ordered. I love the box.

SixthSenseless · 08/12/2016 21:42

Right. Dutch pot definitely on my list. A new way to cook on the fire, stews, slo-cooks, even baking is promised as possible.

hillbilly · 09/12/2016 13:10

Sixthsenseless - they have arrived and look fab! The offer I got was 2 for £19.95.
